Rosemary Frances Bargmann, 94, passed away at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
Rosemary was born on June 5, 1926, in Peoria, IL, to the late Anthony A. and Walburga K. (Leuthner) Grawey. On October 3, 1964 she married Robert Bargmann who preceded her in death on July 29, 1996.
Rosemary was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Shawnee Country Club, Lima Memorial Auxiliary, and St. Rita’s Medical Center Auxiliary. She was a big supporter of St. Vincent De Paul and the Soup Kitchen. She was a very intelligent woman and loved puzzles, reading, needlepoint, and above all, being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her sons: Bernard J. Bargmann of Gahanna, OH and James P. Bargmann of Charleston, WV; daughters: Camillia “Cammie” (Dan) Nichols of Lima and Kimberly (Rob LaRusso) Archer of Troy, OH; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one great-grandchild; brothers, Charles Grawey and Anthony F. Grawey; sisters: Ret. Col. Anne C. Deaven and Lenora (Thomas J.) McDonald.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at St. Charles Catholic Church. Father Kent Kaufman will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lima Central Catholic Capital Campaign.
