Rowena Maud Anderson,
85 of Lima, Ohio died on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, Ohio.
Born Sunday, January 2, 1927 in Putnam Co., Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William Waldo Evans and the late Mae Pitsenbarger Evans. She was the wife of the late Albert Anderson.
She was employed by Lima Memorial Hospital in housekeeping where she retired in 1989.
Mrs. Anderson graduated from Gomer High School in 1947. She was a member of the Gomer United Church of Christ. She taught Sunday School at Gomer Presbyterian Church. She worked in the Housekeeping Dept. at Lima Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are: a brother, D. LaMar Evans of Elida, OH; and several nephews and nieces; two sisters-in-law Ruth Evans and Agnes Evans.
She was predeceased by brothers, William Willard Evans, Darl Evans and Lavern Evans, sister, Clara Juan Kaufman; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Evans and Margie Evans.
There will be no public visitation.
Private burial at Pike Run cemetery will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
