ROBERT A. "BOB" WEBER, 78, died at 2:17 p.m. November 1, 2006, at Taylor House Hospice Center, Des Moines, Iowa. He was born May 30, 1928, in Delphos, Ohio to Anthony J. and Hilda Wurst Weber, who preceded him in death. On May 22, 1954, in Danville, he married Louise Breckler, who died December 28, 1995. Mr. Weber was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church. He was a member of the Redemptorists Society, Knights of Columbus Council 2661, 4th Degree K. of C. and a 24-year member of the Bishop Neumann CssR Assembly. He was also a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54. He was a graduate of University of Dayton. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening and spending time with his family. Survivors include two sons, James Robert (Johanna Eve) Weber, of Clive, Iowa, and Gary Weber of Spokane, Washington; a brother, Richard Weber, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two sisters, Betty (Ken) Kill, of Findlay, Ohio, Ruth (Dick) Gibson, of Lima, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Bob Schmit of Delphos, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jennifer, of Urbandale, Iowa, David and Cristina, both of Clive, Iowa, Kristi, of Bellingham, Washington, and Barry and Brittany, both of Spokane, Washington; and 18 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Schmit. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Delphos, Ohio, with military rites by the Delphos Veterans Council. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where the 4th Degree K. of C. will post guard from 5 to 7 p.m., and a rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
