Ruby Bragg

RUBY B. BRAGG, 82, died at 9:32 p.m. Sept. 4, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born Jan. 28, 1924, in Brown County to Monte Lee and Clara Mae Stansberry Day, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 29, 1944, she married Charles Melvin Bragg, who died Aug. 23, 1986. Mrs. Bragg was a homemaker. She attended New Harmony Methodist Church, New Harmony. Survivors include a daughter, Verna Mae Menchhofer of Lima; a sister, Nellie Baber of Apollo Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren, Tim Maynard, Charles Todd (Michelle) Maynard, Tammy Maynard and David Menchhofer, all of Lima; seven great-grandchildren, Brittany Bowman, Carmel Maynard, Shelley Maynard, Nicholas Maynard, Ashley Maynard, August Lalonne and Madlynn Menchhofer; and several other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Helen Fisher, Wilbur L. Day, Shirley Dickson and Freda Woods; and a brother-in-law, Russell Baber. A private interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gerad Cancer Center.
