Ruby F. Kizer, 93, died at 9:13 a.m. Oct. 24, 2007, at Lost Creek Care Center. She was born Feb. 4, 1914, in Lima to Everett and Opal Wright Wallace, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Kizer was a member of the South Side Christian Church. She was a member of bowling teams at Northland and 20th Century Lanes, a golf league at Hawthorn, Birthday Club, Senior Citizens and Shawnee Community Club. She retired from Michigan Bell Co. as a clerk. She was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 Auxiliary. Survivors included a son, Fred (Debra) Kizer, of Lima; a sister, Mary Hill, of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Kizer, of Bellefontaine; and a special friend, Ted Kennedy. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael (Sharon) Kizer; a sister, Lucille Moosekian; a daughter, Annis Kay; a brother, Leo Wallace; a sister, Viva White; a grandson, Tony Kizer; and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Smith. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Adams will officiate. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
