Ruth Ann Barber,
87, died at 5:26 PM on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at St. Rita's Inpatient Hospice Unit in Lima, Ohio.
Ruth was born on Sunday, May 18, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Robert C. and Alice [Beery] Parmenter. On August 20, 1954 she married Lyle Barber; he preceded her in death September 14, 2006.
Ruth Ann was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Lana (Rev. David R.) Gerber and Kay (Paul) Monus; five grandchildren, Andrew (Kate) Gerber, Erin Gerber, Lauren Cunningham, Ryan Cunningham and Katherine Monus; one great-grandchild, Anna Jean Gerber and brother, Jim (Marilyn) Parmenter.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Rev. David Gerber will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lima, Ohio.
