91, died at 9:57 AM on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.
Ruth was born on July 13, 1926, in Delphos, Ohio to the late Cyril James and Margaret Mary {Harter} Brennan. On January 10, 1948, in Delphos, Ohio, she married James R. Fry, who preceded her in death on November 16, 2011.
She is survived by her daughter Sarah (James) Gerleman of Lima, grandchildren Crystal (Brock) Drexler, Amber Fry, Colton Fry, and Caden Fry, great-grandchildren Chloe Richardson, Navy Drexler, Addison George, and Abel McDonald, and daughter-in-law Valerie Fry.
She was preceded in death by her son James T. Fry, brother Thomas Brennan, and sister Barbara Brown.
Ruth was a graduate of Delphos St. Johns High School in 1944. She was also a graduate of St. Rita's School of Nursing, class of 1947. She did private duty at St. Rita's and later was a charge nurse at the Lima Convalescent Home where she retired. She loved playing piano and was a charter member at St. Charles Catholic Church.
Per her request, there will be no visitation. Private services will be held with a burial following at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.
