97, died at 12:35 AM on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Heartland of Dublin in Dublin, Ohio.
Ruth was born on March 30, 1920, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Harley Hall and Margaret
"Mae"[Briggs] Hall.
She married Kermit D. Graessle on January 1, 1949. He preceded her in death on August 23, 2008. She was a graduate of Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the Lima Memorial Hospital Aux.; Eagles Aerie #370 Aux.; Ruth worked at a hospital in Washington DC during WWII. She worked at Lima Memorial Hospital in a private office for Dr. Walter Beery, and had done private nursing care in the later years of her career.
She is survived by a son, David Graessle, of Dublin, OH; Dawn R. Shuman, granddaughter of Bellefontaine, OH; Lauren E. Graessle, granddaughter of Columbus, OH; Cheryl Goetz, daughter-in-law of Dublin, OH; Jimmy Graessle, grandson of Antioch, CA; and Roberta Graessle, daughter-in-law of Antioch, CA.
She was preceded in death by grandchild Christopher Graessle, son James Graessle, and a sister Martha Jane Walters.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A graveside service will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1751 Spencerville Road, Lima, Ohio at the mausoleum.
