92, died at 5:55 AM on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, Ohio.
Ruth was born on Saturday, August 16, 1924, in Lima, to the late Monte A. and Marie [Stayner] Reese. On October 2, 1943, she married William "Bill' S. Reed who survives in Lima.
Ruth had been a secretary at Allen East Schools. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, the Altar Guild at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Professional Womens Group of Lima and the YWCA for 25 years. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. Ruth and her husband loved to travel, visiting 49 of the 50 states. Her travels included visiting Canada, Mexico, France, Italy and Monaco.
She is survived by: daughters, Nancy M. Clum, Kathi (Don) Krouskop and Diane Grimes; grandchildren, Angie Evans, Amy Harner, Kristy (David) Ruark, Kelly (Matt) Berney, Scott Krouskop, Lynette Brentlinger and Lindsey Grimes; great- grandchildren, Cassie, Ashley, Alyssa, Michael, Eyon, Ava, Johnny Mac, Olivia and Alexis; great-great-grandchild, Jace and brother, Olan Reese.
She was preceded in death by: great-grandson, Brady James Evans; two brothers, Mark Reese and Richard Reese.
The family will receive friends from 10 AM to 12 PM on Monday, July 17, 2017 with the funeral service being held at 12 PM following visitation at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Lima, Ohio. Pastor Mike Hughes will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
