79, died at 10:40 AM on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Burton's Ridge Assisted Living in Lima, Ohio.

Sara was born on March 26, 1939, in Crooksville, Ohio, to the late John Alderman and Rhea (Wood) Alderman.

She loved sewing, crafting, and thrift store shopping. Visits with her daughter while living at Shawnee Manor and Burton’s Ridge included hours of coloring in adult coloring books with gel pens. She loved to go out to eat with her family and she loved her granddaughters with all her heart and was so proud of them.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Jeff) Rex, of Lima, OH, two grandchildren, Jacqueline C. Rex, and Sara M. Rex, who was named after her grandmother. Her brother David Alderman preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends from 5-8p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeride Funeral Home, Lima, OH, where a funeral service will be held at 8p.m.

The family would like to thank Burton’s Ridge Staff for their dedication of special care and a special thank you to St. Rita’s Hospice for their wonderful visits.
