Sarah Campbell

Sarah L. Campbell 72, died at 2:10 p.m. November 3, 2009, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. She was born August 22, 1937, in Lima, Ohio to Lloyd and Etta Tucker Sroufe, who preceded her in death. On April 15, 1956, in Elida, Ohio, she married Ralph B. Campbell, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker and had worked in the cafeteria for Shawnee schools. She was a 1955 graduate of Elida High School. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Elida, Ohio. She enjoyed making baby blankets, needlework, word searches, watching sports and going out to eat with friends. Survivors also include a son, Darrell (Jan) Campbell, of Lima, Ohio; a daughter, Jane Campbell, of Lima, Ohio; two brothers, Raymond (Nancy) Sroufe and Nile (Pauline) Sroufe; three grandchildren, Ben (Beth) Campbell, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Erin Campbell, of Lima, Ohio, and Stephanie (Adam) Jordan; a great grandchild, Lilian Campbell; a brother-in-law, Otis Edwards, of Elida, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nelda Edwards; and an infant brother, Marion Sroufe. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Rode will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
