Scott Eric Godfrey

Scott Eric Godfrey, 51, born September 10, 1967 to Joanne (Rice) Godfrey and Richard “Dick” Godfrey in Lima, Ohio, passed on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.

He graduated from LSH in 1985. He went to work at Lima Correctional in Lima for 11 years, then he transferred to Ohio State Super Max in Youngstown where he finished out his 30 year career.

He was a very proud Ohio State employee both in Lima and Youngstown, OH, where he had a great group of people he trusted and admired and some very good friends from Youngstown he cherished and was very thankful for.

He is survived by his mother, father, and older brother Rich Godfrey and younger brother Greg Godfrey, nephew Mason Godfrey, niece Logan Godfrey, and he was also a proud great uncle to Jaxon Godfrey, Ke’Andre Godfrey, and Klayton Godfrey.

Scott enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, traveling, and an occasional trip to a casino.
