Sewoma Roberts

Sewoma Lee ?Susie? Roberts 69, died at 12:57 p.m. Oct. 9, 2007, at her residence. She was born March 18, 1938, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Elzie and Mary Waddle Prater, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 6, 1966, she married Fred Roberts, who died April 19, 1999. Mrs. Roberts was owner/operator of Northwest Sports from 1980 to 2003, and the Royal Dell Nightclub from 1969 to 1980. She had also worked at the R.G. Dun Cigar Factory. Survivors include a daughter, Rachelle (Jason) Roberts, of Delphos; a son, Robert E. (Amy) Roberts of Spencerville; five stepsons, Ronald (Jan) Roberts, of Wapakoneta, Roger S. Roberts, of Gomer, and Randall W. (Karen) Roberts, Thomas ?Regan? (Pamela) Roberts and Richard K. ?Rick? (Debra) Roberts, all of Lima; two grandchildren, Tyler Roberts and Jordyn Roberts; 14 step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; and 11 siblings, Paul (Tillie) Prater, of Prestonsburg, Ky., Mary Edith Prater Rachlin, of Wapakoneta, Stanley (Rosalynn) Prater and Polly McCoy, both of Elida, Elzie (Bette) Prater Jr., of Lima, Alice Fay (Tom) Grimm, of Meally, Ky., Sharon (Gene) Swint, of Lima, Lonnie (Sandra) Prater, of Detroit, Wanda (Craig) Link, of Wapakoneta, Diane (Gary) Compton, of Corbin, Ky., and Danny (Mona) Prater, of Austin, Texas. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Ellis Puckett will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
