Sharon Rose "Queenie" Burnett Music,
70 of Lima, Ohio died on Friday, April 22, 2011, at her Residence.
Born Friday, March 21, 1941 in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Alford Burnett and the late Garnet Lillian Davis Burnett. She was the wife of the late Douglas M. Music.
Sharon was a graduate on Lima Senior High in 1959, and a graduate of Lima School of Practical Nursing in September of 1963, and attended one year at Rhodes State College. She entered the United States Army in August of 1959 and served in the Medical Unit overseas in Okinawa as a PFC E3. She married Douglas M. Music on June 18, 1966; he preceded her in death on October 16, 1971. She was employed at Lima Memorial Hospital, and St. Rita's Medical Center, retiring after 45 years. She was an active member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. She was also a life member of NAPNES, LPNAO, Inc., Eagles Aux #370, Lima and Life Member of VFW Aux. #6772, Spencerville, and she had served on the State of Ohio Board of Nursing. She enjoyed spending time with family, grandchildren, traveling and crocheting.
Surviving are sons, Bruce (Teresa) Music of Lima, OH and Brian (Nikki Morris) Music of Lima, OH, daughters, Teresa (Wayne) Schofield and Stacey Wick of Lima, OH, 13 grandchildren, Nathan,Amber, Dillon, Zach, Isaiah, Olivia, Nick, Alex, Stephen, Shelby, Alaina, Ashley, Dominic, and 5 Great Grandchildren, brother, Jerry (Penny) Burnett of Union, OH., and several Nieces & Nephews.
She was predeceased by brother, Duane Burnett, sisters, Phyllis "Fifi" Burnett and Shirley Fisher.
A Memorial Service will be at 5:00 PM on Tuesday at Forest Park United Methodist Church located at 315 S. Collins Lima, Ohio with the Rev. Tim Benjamin officiating. A private Interment of ashes will be in Shawnee Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 25, 2011, at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Rita's Medical Center or LPNAO, Inc..
