Shirley Cummans

SHIRLEY A. CUMMANS, 77, died at 3:45 p.m. November 11, 2005, at Lima Convalescent Home. She was born May 26, 1928, in Lima, Ohio to Jess D. and Lucille Putt Cummans. Miss Cummans worked at National Finance for 27 years and Tom Ahl Chrysler for 28 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a former member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a 1946 graduate of South High School and a 1947 graduate of Northwestern School of Commerce. She was a member of Crestwood Neighborhood Association and was a volunteer at the Senior Citizens and Our Daily Bread soup kitchen. Survivors include a brother, Jack (Betty) Cummans of Lima, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Alice (Frank) Cooley of Lima, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, James F. Cummans. Service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The Rev. Daniel Curtis will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lima Convalescent Home or Grace United Methodist Church.
