Solace Mykel Gary Fails

Solace Mykel Gary Fails, 4 months, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at home.

Little Solace was born on November 1, 2019, in Lima, OH, to Carl Fails and Kaniya Thompson.

Solace was the family’s first “Prince” and was a very active, smart and happy baby.  He seemed to be constantly surrounded by his guardian angels.

He is survived by his parents; brother, Hart Underwood of Springfield; five sisters: Kaisha Thompson, Jurnee Austin, Gelise Austin, Memory Austin and Serenity Fails, all of Lima; aunts: Deanna Adams, Royal Vines, and Latoya Lee-Ware; uncles: Jason Adams, Billy Thompson and Reese Thompson; many cousins; and special God-mother, Angel Hopkins.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rebecca Adams; maternal grandfather, Billy Don Thompson; and aunt, Shantel Thompson.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.   The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m.  Rev. Wayne Bradley will officiate.
