Sonny Hartman

Sonny V. Hartman 30, died at 8:34 p.m. November 30, 2009, at University Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born May 7, 1979, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Donald Hartman and Vicki Tenwalde Plummer. His father and stepmother, Danelle Hartman, survive in Lima, Ohio. His mother and stepfather, Jerry Plummer, also survive in Lima, Ohio. On August 11, 2007, he married Lindi McCarty, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Hartman was a loving husband and dad, who loved life. He was an avid fan of the University of Michigan. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a compassionate heart. He attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. Survivors also include three sons, Sonny Lee Hartman, Nick Fricke and Nathan Fricke; a sister, Jaime Hartman (Roger) Lyons; three stepbrothers, Christopher Bruin, Zachary Hartman and Aaron Plummer; two stepsisters, Angie Plummer and April McGill; paternal grandparents, Pastor Frank and Beverly Hartman, of Lima, Ohio; several aunts and uncles; several cousins; and his father- and mother-in-law, Dick and Elaine McCarty, of Lima, Ohio. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Freda and Jack Gerleman and Victor Vincent Tenwalde. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Lima Baptist Temple. Pastor Gary Hohman will officiate.
