Starlie J. Nolan 66, died at 7:18 a.m. December 8, 2009, at Hospice of Dayton, Ohio. She was born January 20, 1943, in Lima, OHio to Elmer and Martha Shockey Burkholder, who preceded her in death. On March 5, 1984, she married Robert L. Nolan, who died January 20, 2009. Mrs. Nolan was a 1961 graduate of Lima Senior High School. She had been an aide in the therapy department at Lima Manor Nursing Home. She had also worked at Rays Markets, the post office and the bakery and the deli at The Andersons. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting, and had sold some of her items at craft shows. Survivors include a son, Derrick Paul Starr, of Las Cruses, New Mexico ; two daughters, Beth Ann Ring, of Columbus, Ohio, and Dr. Denise Deborah Starr, of Dayton, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Roberta Nolan and Ettalee Calvert, both of Indiana; two brothers, Ted Ansel, of Lima, Ohio, and Fred Ansel, of Findlay, Ohio; three grandchildren, Nicole Ring, Sarah Ring and Chelsea Ring; two step grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Martha (Jack) Burklo, of Lima, Ohio; and a brother-in-law, Logan (Mildred) Nolan, of Lima, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Kneer. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Wanda Werking will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
