Stella Nielsen

Stella Mae Nielsen, 70, died at 11:27 p.m. June 15, 2010, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. She was born Aug. 22, 1939, in Cambridge to Richard and Rachael Brown Gibson, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 13, 1983, she married John David Nielsen, who died Dec. 26, 2006. Mrs. Nielsen loved flower gardening and watching television. Survivors include four children, Robert (Karen) Hatcher, of Cridersville, James R. (Alisa) Hatcher and Lauretta (Jessie Simpkins) Hatcher-Collins, both of Kenton, and Gary W. (Carolyn) Hatcher, of Apopka, Fla.; and 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William Joseph Hatcher; and two brothers, O.V. and Richard Gibson. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Brock will officiate. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery, Mendon.
