Stephen KESNER

STEPHEN J. KESNER, 48, died at 3:45 a.m. Jan. 5, 2007, at his residence. He was born Nov. 6, 1958, in Lima to John W. and Patricia A. Kriegel Kesner, who preceded him in death. On July 4, 2000, he married Melanie Elmquist, who survives in Lima. Mr. Kesner was co-owner of Kesner Insurance Agency. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 2661. Survivors also include three sons, Stephen J. Kesner Jr., Kevin Andrew Kesner and Brian Patrick Kesner, all of Lima; a daughter, Audrey Kristine Kesner, of Lima; seven brothers, Thomas P. (Kendra) Kesner, John M. (Lisa) Kesner, Jerry W. (Julie) Kesner and Paul L. (Julie) Kesner, all of Lima, Gary M. (Lori) Kesner, of Cincinnati, Joseph S. (Debbie) Kesner, of Sandusky, and David T. (Cindy) Kesner, of Lima; five sisters, Carol A. (Greg) Rockey, of Lima, Shelley M. (Paul) Johnson, of South Carolina, Patricia G. (Joseph) Zuppardo, of Lima, Marylou (Aaron) Marlatt, of Marysville, and Julie F. (Jeff) VanFossan, of Johnstown; and his father- and mother-in-law, Ed and Karen Elmquist, of Lima. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Charles Catholic Church. The Rev. Dave Ritchie will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice, 770 W.
