Steven J. "Coop" Cooper,
47 of Lima, Ohio died unexpectedly Saturday, September 15, 2012, at his residence in Lima, Ohio.
Born Monday, January 11, 1965 in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of Jim Cooper and Barbara "Babs" (Schooley) Cooper.
Steve was a member of South Side Christian Church. He loved spending time with his family, and especially his grandchildren. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, OSU Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, the Columbus Bluejackets and also loved going to Rock Concerts.
Surviving are: a son, Steve (Kari) Cooper of Columbus Grove, OH; a daughter, Mindi (Dave) Mitchell of Lima, OH; three sisters, Cathy (Bob) Freisthler of Lima, OH; Cheryl Pickens of Lima, OH and Susan Garrick of Kalida, OH; two grandchildren, Brady and Dylan Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Wayne Garrick.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at South Side Christian Church with the Rev. Douglas Adams and Rev. Wanda Werking officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday
