Steven A. Jankow Steven A. Jankow, 52, died at 2:32 a.m. May 1, 2009, at Cleveland Clinic Hospitals. He was born April 27, 1957, in Detroit to Robert and Diane Greenough Jankow, who preceded him in death. On Nov. 18, 2005, in Las Vegas he married Denise Frueh Switzer, who survives in Lima. Mr. Jankow worked at Honda of American in Anna. He previously worked at the General Dynamics Tank Plant. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 199 and American Legion Post 96, both in Lima. He loved to ride his Harley-Davidson Road King. He was an avid sports fan, rooting for the Detroit Red Wings and University of Michigan football. He was a very kindhearted, easygoing man who lived life to the fullest. He especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He was a very caring individual who had a unique sense of humor and a willingness to do things for other people. He touched many lives and we were fortunate to have him in ours. He will be greatly missed. Survivors also include two sons, Steven Jankow, of Lima, and David Jankow, of Lima; a daughter, Elyse Jankow, of Lima; two stepsons, Jack Switzer, of Lima, and Gabe Foust, of Charleston, S.C.; a stepdaughter, Shae Foust, of Dayton; three brothers, Robert (Lori) Jankow, of Sterling Heights, Mich., Bradley (Jeanne) Jankow, of Warren, Mich., and Brian (Lois) Jankow, of Madison Heights, Mich.; two sisters, Susan (David) Budzinski, of Royal Oak, Mich., and Lynne (Bruce) Powell, of Madison Heights, Mich.; one granddaughter and many nieces and nephews and many friends who loved Steve greatly. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. David Ross will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or the Susan G.
