Steven Douglas Switzer
of Lima, Ohio, born August 30, 1957in Lima, Ohio to the late Jack Eugene Switzer & Wilhelmine L. (Meyer) Switzer who survives in Columbus, Ohio. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, July 20, 2013.
He was a graduate of Lima Senior High School. Steve was a truck driver at heart, loved driving and seeing the country. He was an avid Ohio State Football fan. Cleveland sports teams such as the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers were also fan favorites. Steve maintained an amazing imagination and enjoyed Star Trek and science fiction. Steve was a caring individual who would constantly go out of his way to help others. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by: his son, Jack D Switzer: sister, Jacqueline L Switzer; and, two aunts, Charlotte Saunders and Vonda Switzer. He is also survived by several cousins, special neighbors Tom and Sharon Snider, along with many other friends and extended family.
Preceded in death by: three uncles, John T Switzer, Bill Sterling, and Harvey Roberts; and Aunt Teresa Roberts.
Friends may call Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M.
Pastor Tim Benjamin will officiate.
