Susan Hoover

Susan K. Hoover, 75, passed away at 4:15 a.m. on December 26, 2023, at Lost Creek Healthcare.

Susan was born on September 17, 1948, in Lima, Ohio, to Jacob Russell and Emma Belle (Stemen) Sholler. On January 18, 1975, she married Joseph W. Hoover Jr., who preceded her in death.

Susan was a life member of Women’s Auxiliary VFW Post #1275. She enjoyed spending time with her family and praising Jesus.

She is survived by her son Justin (Jessica) Hoover; a stepson, Ronald (Lisa) Hoover; sister, Sherry Helfrick; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Brooks Sholler; a daughter, Kandice Kaye Burton; a grandson, D.J. Sholler, and brothers, Leroy and Orville Sholler.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Full Gospel Temple of Love, 713 Edsel Ave. Lima, Ohio 45801.  A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m.  Pastor Joe Compton Jr.  will officiate. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital or Full Gospel Temple of Love.
