SUSAN M. STERLING, 53, died at 11 a.m. Sept. 21, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born Aug. 4, 1953, in Lima to Beryl Montague Jr. and Patricia Graffam Montague Day. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Lima. Mrs. Sterling had been a manger at Macy's Caf? for more than 28 years. She was a member of Cornerstone Harvest Church. She was involved with Partners in Time at Macy's, Relay for Life and the Lima Memorial Cancer Benefit Dinner. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors also include a daughter, Katie M. Sterling of Elida; two grandchildren, Dustin M. Klenke and Taylor Anne N. Klenke, both of New Hampshire, Ohio; a brother, Kevin (Hala) Montague of Kuwait; two sisters, Linda (Ralph) Avery of Alger and Karen McNeil of Mount Blanchard; and 10 nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and -nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melynda Sterling; her stepfather, Richard Day; and a brother, David Montague. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Makley will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
