Mrs. Reiff?s family descended from the earliest settlers in Indian territory in Auglaize County. The first member of the family settled as an original founder near what is now Waynesfield, Ohio. They were given a large amount of land, which was distributed as a farm to each child as they married. She was a longtime member of South Side Christian Church, where she taught Mary-Martha Sunday school classes for more than 30 years. She was the fourth female to be elected an elder in the church. She was a member of the CWF. She loved music and played the organ and piano and was a longtime member of the Organ Club of Lima. She was an avid card player, who loved to play bridge with her family and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother of four children. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis (Dan) Huffer, of Savannah, Georgia; two sons, Alan (Lesli) Reiff, of Naples, Florida, and Donald (Nancy) Reiff, of Elida, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Reiff, of Savannah, Geogia; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a son, Eddy Lee Reiff; a great-grandson, Alexander Plaugher; and four sisters and a brother. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at South Side Christian Church. The Rev. Douglas Adams and Wanda Werking will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
