Ted W. Hunt 60, died at 11:07 p.m. March 1, 2010, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born November 11, 1949, in Lima, Ohio to William and Jean Ramsey Hunt. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives. On June 15, 1974, he married Patricia Slaughter, who survives in Gomer, Ohio. Mr. Hunt was self-employed as a truck driver. He was an Air Force veteran, serving from May 5, 1970, to March 29, 1974. He was a 35-year member of America Legion Post 96, Lima, Ohio, and a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1533, Indian Lake. He enjoyed collecting beer steins and was an avid watcher of black-and-white movies. He loved camping and playing cornhole with his family. He loved his grandchildren. Survivors also include two sons, Douglas (Pam) Hunt, of The Colony, Texas, and Trevor (Ava) Hunt, of Columbus Grove, Ohio; two daughters, Tonia (Patrick) Vetter, of Chicago, and Tara (Billy ?B.J.?) Bowersock, of Elida, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Austin Hunt, Nathan Hunt, Seth Hunt, Adam Hunt, Jack Vetter, Olive Vetter, Ethan Bowersock and Evan Bowersock; a brother, Timothy R. (Phyllis) Hunt, of Columbus Grove, Ohio; a special nephew and niece, Todd Hunt and Tammy Profit. He was preceded in death by his loving dog, Roxy. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Walls will officiate. Burial will be in the Ottawa River Cemetery, Rimer.
