Thelma I. McPeak 92, died at 1:40 a.m. December 24, 2009, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton, Ohio. She was born October 14, 1917, in Bay City, Michigan, to Thomas and Lillian Phillips Arnold, who preceded her on death. On July 25, 1937, she married Elvin Sutton, who died in 1972. On July 30, 1982, she married James R. McPeak, who died June 18, 1999. Mrs. McPeak was a member of Shawnee United Methodist Church. She worked as a clerk in the retail industry. She was known as ?Grandma the cookie baker.? She was loved and adored by her two great-grandchildren, Logan and Lydia, their mom Karen Musser and the entire Musser family. Survivors also include two grandsons; a niece, Glenna Sutton and family, of St. Johns, Ohio; and friends Jerry and Carol Musser and family, of Bluffton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelby Skelly; a son, Robert Sutton; three sisters; and three brothers. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Bryan Bucher will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
