Ted has requested that his body be cremated and that his ashes be spread by his family.
In lieu of flowers, a Teddy Sharik Memorial Scholarship Fund will be set up in his honor. Our immediate goal is to raise $5,000 to help fund a remarkable certification program for "Interpreters for the Deaf" at Sinclair Community College, in Dayton, Ohio. This program was chosen because of both its quality and because this was where over dozens of remarkable women and men were trained and acted as more than caring "bridge builders" for Ted during his 5+ years living in Lima, AND during thr 24/7 service they provided for the final 7 weeks of his life while at St. Rita's Medical Center. Please consider a generous contribution to the life-changing work of those who give themselves to translate sound for those who cannot hear it. Please contact Scott Sharik at ssharik1@gmail.com on how to contribute.
Arrangements handled by Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at www.chamberlainhuckeriede.com.
