Theodota M. Tessoff

Theodota M. Tessoff, 94, previously of Lima, Ohio, passed away at 12:16 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at I.U. Health North Hospital, Carmel, IN.

Theodota was born on December 20, 1926, in Greece, to George and Sophia Coulianu.  She worked on the family farm in Greece.  Theodota first married Kiriakys Itson in 1945, who died during World War II in Greece in 1947.  She came to America in 1968 and proudly became an U.S. Citizen in May of 1972.  She married Mike Tessoff on Aug. 30, 1968.  He preceded her in death in February of 1978.  Theodota was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church, Lima, Ohio.  She was the sweetest lady ever.  She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Helen (Kostas) Gogis; four grandchildren: Lukas (Jodie) Gogis, Michael (Laura) Gogis, Chris (Brad) Harmon and Gary (Lee Anne) Gogis; great-grandchildren: Grace, Grant, Greta, Logan, Landon, Samuel, Delaney, Brayden and Brianna; and brother, Simos (Fani) Coulianu.  She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one sister, and three brothers.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.   The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.  Pastor Jon Spyker will officiate.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Wesleyan Church, 414 E. Market St., Lima, OH 45801.
