Thomas E. Behymer, 73 of Lima, Ohio died on Friday, September 16, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima,
Born December 6, 1937 in New Richmond, Ohio, to Christopher and Mary Ellen (Jones) Behymer who preceded him in death. On August 22, 1959 in New Richmond, Ohio he married Wilma Jean Wilson and she survives in Lima.
He retired from Auburn Foundry, Auburn, Indiana.
He was a member of Lafayette Missonary Baptist Church, Lafayette where he was also a Deacon. Enjoyed bowling and watching baseball and football. Loved spending time with family and friends. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ. He was a U. S. Army veteran.
Surviving are a brother, Lew (Helen) Behymer of South Carolina, two sisters, Laura (Ron) Erdman of New Richmond, OH and Marsha (Karl) Bottenburg of California.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Clara Swartz, Peggy Lee Carr and Lee Ann Behymer.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church, Lafayette with Pastor Ken Waldroup officiating. Interment will be in Lafayette Cemetery, Lafayette, OH.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and one hour preceding the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be sent to Meals on Wheels - Lima.
