Thomas W. Brunner 68, died at 5:01 p.m. November 7, 2009, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born August 20, 1941, in Springfield, Ohio to Cletus M. and Louise I. Pfister Brunner, who preceded him in death. On June 20, 1964, he married Nelda Rudzinski, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Brunner was co-owner and operator of Brunner News Agency. He was a graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School. He received his bachelor?s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master?s degree in aeronautical engineering from The Ohio State University. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He was a member of the Serra Club, where he had held several offices, the Notre Dame Club, Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Knights of Columbus Council 2661 and the Evening Sertoma Club. He was also a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1533 at Indian Lake. Survivors also include two sons, Jon (Missy) Brunner and David (Christy) Brunner, both of Lima, Ohio; three daughters, Amy (Bob) Jones and Jenny Brunner, both of Lima, Ohio, and Betsy (Mark) Kline, of Cincinnati, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Max, Emma, Caden, Madeline, Caleb, Hannah, Isaac and Gage; a brother, James (Beverly) Brunner, of Lima, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Catholic Church. The Rev. Stephen Blum will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor?s choice.
