Thomas Edens,

THOMAS G. EDENS Sr., 79, died at 10:50 a.m. February 14, 2006, at VanCrest Health Care Center, Delphos, Ohio. He was born September 4, 1926, in McGuffy, Ohio to Guy and Lillian Edens, who preceded him in death. On February 10, 1954, he married Estle Fanshier, who died June 27, 1994. Mr. Edens was self-employed as a hydraulic technician and owned and operated Hoist Service of Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 and Orioles Nest 173. He was an avid fisherman and race fan. He truly loved his family and friends. Survivors include a daughter, Judy (Alan) Lehmann of Gomer, Ohio; a son, Thomas G. Edens Jr. of Delphos, Ohio; six grandchildren, Shelly Carmean of Gomer, Ohio, Sandra (Ross) Jaehn of Spencerville, Ohio, Summer Vettori of Lima, Ohio, Shanon Hauenstein of Bluffton, Ohio and Christine Edens and Joseph Edens, both of Columbus Grove, Ohio; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Walls will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
