Thomas "Greg" Godsey Sr.

Thomas Gregory “Greg” Godsey Sr., 70, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at his home in Lima. Thomas was born on December 18, 1954, in Lima, Ohio to Larry and Phyllis (Godsey) West. 

Thomas “Greg” graduated in 1973 from Lima Senior High School. He then attended Hobart Institute of Welding Technology in Dayton, Ohio. He retired as a supervisor from Nelson Packaging. Thomas "Greg" was an avid OSU fan and enjoyed all sports. He loved music and dancing, and of course spending time with his family. He had a jovial personality and was always the life of the party.

He is survived by a daughter, Shemille Godsey Wash; a son, Thomas “TJ” Godsey Jr.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Dionne (Keithie) Lasenby; and a brother, Michael West; and a host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Deborah Clark.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 - 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Fresh Faded, 229 S. Main St., Lima, Ohio.
