53, passed away at 3:19 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at St. Rita's Dialysis Center, in Lima, Ohio.
Thomas was born on Sunday, October 01, 1961, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Theodore and Helen (Weldgen) Huenke. He was the youngest of ten children.
Thomas was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and a graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School. He was a Life Member of the Knights of Columbus and a past Grand Knight of Council 3727-Columbus, Ohio and also "Knight of the Year" in 1998. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Home Economics and a huge Ohio State Buckeye's fan. He also enjoyed cooking and golf. Thomas was a kidney transplant survivor for thirty years. He had worked at the Ohio State University and at Whole Foods in Columbus.
Famliy members surviving him are: brothers, Gary (Patty) Huenke, Keizer, OR, Joe (Anita) Huenke, Safety Harbor, FL, Jim (Elaine) Huenke, Columubus, OH, Bo Huenke, Elida, OH, and Roger (Debra) Huenke, Pleasant Valley, NY; sisters, Connie Ritter, Findlay, OH, and Mary (Brian) Sohner, Hilliard, OH; Sister's-in-law's, Karen Huenke, Syosset, NY and Katie Huenke, Powell, OH and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brothers; Ted Huenke and Dan Huenke.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Father David M. Ross will officiate. Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
