Thomas A. Ladden, 70, of Lima, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. at Indiana University/Purdue University Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Thomas was born on January 30, 1943 in Lima to James Ladden and Lillian Boudrie who both preceded him in death.
On May 15, 1965 he married Barbara Thomas in Lima and she survives. On May 15, 2008 they renewed their vows.
Thomas was a self employed plumber. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Eaton during the Cuban Missle Crisis. He was a member of the the American Legion Post 96 and the VFW Post 1275. He loved Notre Dame, the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. He never met a stranger and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
Surviving are a son Tige (Andrea) Ladden of Lima; two daughters Melissa (Richard Gephart) Ladden of Lima and Shannon (Todd) Merritt of Lima; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a brother Phil (Jean) Ladden of Phoenix, AZ; a sister in law Karen Ladden of Lima; a brother in law Jim Ribley of South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son Thomas A. Ladden, Jr.; a two brothers John and James Ladden and a sister Johanna Ribley.
There will be no visitation and a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
