Thomas B. Plikerd

Thomas B. Plikerd, age 83, died at 4:00 p.m., Monday, January 9, 2017, at Richland Manor, Bluffton. Thomas was born May 17, 1933, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Earl Wayne and Donna Lucille (Ferguson) Plikerd. He had been married to Elsie (Twining) Plikerd, who survives in Lima.
Thomas was a proud member of Lima Community Church of the Nazarene. He had worked as a Carpenter for The Jack Burden Construction Company. Tom enjoyed fishing and boating; and most of all enjoyed watching his grandchildren.
He is survived by five children Kathy J. (Plikerd) (Mark S.) Hollinger, Randall W. (Julie) Plikerd, Karen M. (Plikerd) (Steve) Allen, Russell T. (Melanie) Plikerd, Amy E. (Plikerd) (Michael) Snyder; 12 grandchildren Aaron w. (Aubrey) Hollinger, Amanda J. (Hollinger) (Brandon Cannaday), Jordan Scott Plikerd, Emma Rose Plikerd, Laura Kay Plikerd, Eric Allen, Rachael Allen, Meagan Plikerd, Claire Plikerd, Chelsie Crow (Geoff Shelstad), Kayla (Crow) (Brandon) Knotts, Casey Crow; and 3 great grandchildren Amelia, Ainsley and Brynleigh.
He is preceded in death by a daughter Amanda Kay Plikerd, a sister Patricia (Plikerd) Morsch.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Chamberlain Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio; and Friday 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., January 13, 2017 at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2017 at Chamberlain Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Terry Ayers will officiate.
Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Lima Community Church of the Nazarene.
