Thomas J. "Tom" Stalter,
76 of Elida, Ohio died on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Born Saturday, September 21, 1935 in Elida, Ohio, he was the son of the late Willard Gale Stalter and the late Rozella Pauline John Stalter.
Tom married Janet Thompson on November 16, 1954, she survives. He retired from Lima Register-Milcor after 42 years. He was a member of the Allentown United Methodist Church. He graduated in 1954 from Elida High School. He was a member of the Elida Fire Department 35 years and helped organize the 1st Elida Rescue Squad. He was a Boy Scout Leader in Elida for 5 years. His hobbies included, camping, traveling and handyman. Mr.Fix it and Work Shop. He was a NASCAR Fan and supported Tony Stewart.
Surviving are son, Mark Stalter of Obetz, OH, two daughters, Tanya (Craig) Kline, of Elida, Ohio, Elea (George) Crisp of Lima, Ohio, 12 grandchildren, Angie, Becky, Caryn, Dulie, Jocelyn, Anthony, Jenni, Abbigail, Gale, Latrisha, Janette, and Joshua, Twenty great grandchildren, Myranda, Vincent, Marshall, Shawn, Dylan, Charles, Matthew, Brandon, Haley, Christopher, Maddie, Reece, Eva, Victoria, Patrick, Denver, Dominic, Tyler, Isaiah and Vanessa.
He was predeceased by brother, James W. Stalter, two sisters, Janet Sue Stalter and Marallyn Metzger.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Allentown United Methodist Church Building Fund, with the Rev. Neal Whitney officiating with Rosie Lora, assisting.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 9, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
