Timothy A. ?Timmy Mac? McPheron, 41, died at 1:40 a.m. Aug. 27, 2010, at his residence, following a 13-month battle with esophageal cancer. He was born April 7, 1969, in Lima to Robert J. McPheron and Jane Riepenhoff Goodwin. His father and stepmother, Linda McPheron, survive in Zephyrhills, Fla. His mother and stepfather, Bill Goodwin, survive in Elida. On Sept. 21, 1996, he married Susan Sherrick, who survives in Elida. Mr. McPheron was a 1987 graduate of Elida High School. He attended church in Allentown. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 199. He was a sports fanatic, enjoying football, hockey and NASCAR. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, The Ohio State University Buckeyes, the Columbus Blue Jackets and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He loved to fish, camp and spend time with family and friends. He was easy going, a good listener, had a great sense of humor and was a friend to everyone he came in contact with. He will be deeply missed by all those how knew and loved him. Survivors also include three sons, Christopher McPheron, Jacob McPheron and Timothy James ?T.J.? McPheron, all of Elida; two daughters, Jordan Sherrick and Shelby McPheron, both of Elida; a granddaughter, Layken McPheron, of Lima; a brother, Robert J. (Michele) McPheron II, of New Port Richey, Fla.; two stepbrothers, Chad (Susan) Bryan, of Elida, and Bill (Carla) Goodwin, of Islamorada, Fla.; four stepsisters, Niki (Craig) Holcomb, of Elida, Lisa (Jason Whitling) Goodwin, of Kalida, and Jennifer (John) Isaacson and Jessica (Mike) Hillyard, both of Evansville, Ind.; father- and mother-in-law, Jim and Patricia Sherrick, of Delphos; extended family, Larry and Linda Bryan, of Elida; several nieces and nephews; several brothers- and sisters-in-law; and his faithful dog, Bailey. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Allen and Velva Jean Wren McPheron; maternal grandparents, Robert Charles and Mary Patricia Mosgrove Riepenhoff and Don and Madalyn Riepenhoff, who were special. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Elida. The Rev. Neal Whitney will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
