Tobey Smith

Tobey Smith , 87, died at 12:57 p.m. April 12, 2009, at the Lima Convalescent Home. She was born August 7, 1921, in Jersey City, N.J., to Samuel and Etta Levy Weiss, who preceded her in death. She married Irving L. Smith, who preceded her in death. She then married Chester Kosuda, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Smith had been a travel agent. Survivors include a son, Dr. Arvin P. (Iris) Smith, of Mount Lakes, New Jersey; two daughters, Anne D. (George) Handley, of Lima, Ohio, and Yvonne B. (Bernie) Silver, of Weehawken, New Jersey; six grandchildren, Dr. David Smith, Greg (Courtney) Smith, Ian Handley, Heather (Andy Rinerson) Handley, San Silver and Ali Silver; a great-grandchild, Jackie Smith; and a brother, Joseph Weiss, of Florida. Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. today in Montafiore Cemetery, Springfield Gardens, New York. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association-West Central Ohio, 892 S.
