Treva Vickery Archer

Treva M. Vickery Archer 86, died at 10:15 p.m. Sept. 18, 2007, at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born March 27, 1921, in St. Mary?s to John Henry and Muriel Burden, who preceded her in death. On June 10, 1943, she married Louis Vickery Sr., who died in January 1982. In November 1989, she married Gene Archer, who died in 1997. Mrs. Archer retired in 1983 as a nurse?s aide from Lima Memorial Hospital, after 23 years. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3615, Indian Lake. Survivors include two daughters, Sue (Gene) John, of Lima, and Sharon Prater, of New Port Richey, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Lynne Vickery, of Largo, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Wilma Burden, of Lima; a sister, Doris D. Lee, of Lima; and 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a great great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six sons, Ted Allen, Louis Jr. and Howard E. Vickery, Jack Dodds, Timmy Vickery and Roy Franklin Dodds; two brothers, Harold E. and Richard Burden; two sisters, Martha Gardner and Viola Miller; and a brother-in-law, Fred Lee. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Brock will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hemodialysis at Lima Memorial Health System.
