Ursula Melton, 67, died at 3:39 p.m. October 30, 2008, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. She was born August 15, 1941, in Frankfurt, Germany, to Erich and Mathilda Adams Koch, who preceded her in death. On April 24, 1963, she married Kenneth Ray Melton Sr., who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mrs. Melton was a homemaker. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church on Grand Avenue. She loved to travel and go camping. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her family very much. Survivors also include three sons, David (Xiao) Koch, of Frankfurt, Germany, John Melton, of Bluffton, Ohio, and James (Kathleen) Melton, of Lima, Ohio; two daughters, Caroline (Scott Stevens) McGuire, of Waynesfield, Ohio, and Diana Melton, of Detroit, Michigan; a brother, Berthold (Vera) Koch, of Giesenhausen, Germany; and 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, all of Lima, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth R. Melton Jr. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Christopher Page will officiate. Burial will be in Allentown Cemetery, Allentown. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, Grand Avenue.
