V.MAXINE WEICK-COOK, 85, died at 6 p.m. November 24, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born February 2, 1921, to Edward and Carrie Cook in Beaverdam. Both preceded her in death. She married William Weick in 1944, who died in 1985. She then married Carl Cook in 1990 and he died in 1994. She worked for the U.S. Navy in personnel during World War II. She was a secretary for the Cerebral Palsy Clinic and for attorney Lee VanBlargan. She was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Sandra (Robert) Moler of Longmount, Colorado, Linda (Cliff) Beecher-Freese, of Lima, Ohio, and Rhonda Daugherty, of Jacksonville, Florida; six grandchildren, Eric Beecher, Rodger Moler, April Beecher-Lavery, Chris Moler, Nicole Daugherty-Wilson, and Alisa Daugherty-Thompson; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Lavery, Ian Lavery, Rion Thompson, Caleb Daugherty and Morgan Wilson. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Leah Matter, Helen Anderson and Treva Vanmeter; and a brother, Kenneth Cook. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Park United Methodist Church. Pastor Derek Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Campbell Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
