Virginia M. Andrew,
92, died at 1:30 PM on Sunday, September 4, 2016, at Elmcroft Assisted Living Center at Lima, Ohio.
Virginia was born on August 24, 1924, in Harvy at Chicago, Illinois, to Alcus and Gertrude (Russell) Willoughby.
Virginia married Francis Andrew on April 7, 1945. They had been married 71 years. He survives in Lima. She was a member of the Market Street Presbyterian Church as an Elder and Sunday School Teacher, and was active with their youth group, the church office, and with their Synod of Ohio. She was instrumental in organizing the Corner Cupboard Thrift Shop which was located in the basement at the Lima YWCA. Her contribution to the war effort of WWII was at Mobile, Alabama repairing or rebuilding turbo super chargers of B24 Bomber engines.
She is also survived by their daughter, Patricia Andrew-Batis and one niece and four nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Lloyd and Cecil Willoughby.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, September 12, 2016 at Market St. Presbyterian Church in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Market St. Presbyterian Church in Lima, Ohio. Rev. Dr. Mark Rich will officiate.
Interment of ashes will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Beavercreek Township which is East of Dayton, Ohio on Monday, September 19, 2016.
