59, died at 5:45 AM on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.

Virginia was born on June 1, 1957, in Lima, Ohio, to the late William J. "Jack" Smith and Evelyn Marie (Hanthorn) Smith. She married Dennis Earl Ley who survives. She was a 1975 graduate of Lima Senior High School. She worked at the Hardin County Job and Family Services. She was a member of the Cable Road Alliance Church. She volunteered at CASA, was a photographer for "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" and many years with the Shawnee Band Boosters.

She is survived by a two step sons, Dennis (Kim) Ley, of Coldwater, OH and Steve (Annette) Ley, of Elida, OH, a son, Michael (Kyle) Ley, of Lima, OH and a daughter, Cristy (Jared) Moening, of Madison WI; eight grandchildren, Kory, Natasha, Kurtis, Kelli, Kody, Malachi, Jordan and Morgan; one brother, Tom (Joan)Smith, of Ada, OH, a sister, Barb (Steve-deceased) Gibbs, of Cridersville, OH; a brother-in-law, Alan (Terri) Ley and a sister-in-law, Janice (Ron) Roberts.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. Cable Road Alliance Church Pastors Mike Boyes and Richard Jueckstock will officiate.

Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lima, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cable Road Alliance Church.
