Virginia L. Snow, 85, of Lima, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Lima Convalescent Home. She was born on August 30, 1936 in Middletown, Ohio to the late Louis and Lucy Bernice {Stanifer} Taylor. On October 14, 1976, she married Terry Snow, who survives in Lima.
Virginia graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in Dayton and then became an LPN. She worked for several nursing homes as well at St. Rita’s Medical Center and Lima Memorial Hospital. She loved to sing and would sing in church choir and for weddings and funerals. She even sang on the Easter Straker Show. She enjoyed crocheting and ceramics and made nativity scenes for all her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, David (Robin) Wollenhaupt and Thomas (Tess) Wollenhaupt; grandchildren: Erik (Lindsay) Wollenhaupt, Keri (Jon) Reeves, Adam Wollenhaupt, Marc Wollenhaupt, Seth (Destiny) Wollenhaupt, Kurt Wollenhaupt, Kiya (Payton Knittle) Wollenhaupt, Daniel Wollenhaupt, and Tim (Victoria) Wollenhaupt; great-grandchildren: Luke and Emma Wollenhaupt, and Harper, Ava, and Charlotte Reeves; nephew and niece, Jeff and Ellen Shockey; and her foster children, Michelle Austin and Heather Fausnaugh.
Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the funeral home. Friends may also visit one hour prior to the service from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Pastor Bill Schultz will officiate. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
