52, of Fort Jennings, Ohio died, after a very brief battle with cancer, on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at 7:31 p.m.at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Born Monday, August 3, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Fred Garrick and the late Ruby (Hatton) Garrick.
Wayne married Susan Cooper on July10, 2003. She survives in Ft. Jennings, Ohio.
He was a Quality Control Inspector at General Dynamics. He was a member of the Leipsic Rod-n-Gun Club. Wayne was a JEEP enthusiast. He was an avid outdoorsman and truly enjoyed Kayaking.
Surviving are: a daughter, Amanda (Neil) Unterbrink of Columbus, OH; two stepdaughters, Meredith (Clint) Creager of Van Wert, OH; and Rachel Bash of Van Wert,OH; two grandchildren, Madison Bash and Warner Unterbrink; a brother, Bill (Maggie) Garrick of Wyandotte, MI; a brother, Kevin Garrick of Leipsic, OH; a sister Sandy Garrick of Findlay, OH and a brother, Jim (Judy) Garrick of Ottawa, OH, sister, Linda (Lenny) Garrick-Cudnik of Westland, MI.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Gary Garrick
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 28, 2012, and Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home,
A Funeral service will be at 6:00 PM on Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Rev. Wanda Werking officiating.
