Wendell Ridgley, 86, died at 4:29 p.m. April 13, 2009, at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born August 29, 1922, in Chesterhill to Harry and Edith Carpenter Ridgley, who preceded him in death. On September 21, 1947, he married O. Louise ?Tommie? Thompson, who preceded him in death. Mr. Ridgley retired in 1984 as controller for City Loan & Savings Co. He was a member of Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54 and had been a member of the Optimist Club. He was a member of the Camera Club at Art/Space Lima. He was an Air Force associate. He was a 1982 graduate of Lima Technical College. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, serving as a lieutenant colonel. He loved playing golf and had a passion for photography. He was a huge fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes. Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl McGarvey, of New Albany, and Wendy (Carroll) Morning, of Lima, Ohio; a son, Kerry (Maureen) Ridgley, of Scottsdale, Arizona; nine grandchildren, Heather McGarvey, Susan McGarvey, Kaycee Manley, Brandon Morning, Tevon Morning, Brytton Morning, Cayden Morning, Carrie Srebro and Caitlin Hudson; six great-grandchildren, Kyle McGarvey, Ryan McGarvey, Allison Moffo, Deion Manley, Daesy Hudson and Chloe Hudson; two brothers, Glenn (Joanne) Ridgley, of Zanesville, and Dana Ridgley, of Barrington, R.I.; a sister, Virginia Evans, of Worthington, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Marlene Ridgley, of Zanesville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Daniel McGarvey; and a brother, Paul Ridgley. Memorial services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. The Rev.
