Gene Western Blowers, 83 of Lima, Ohio died on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Sunday, September 30, 1928 in Malaga, Ohio, he was the son o Manford W . Blowers and Effie Riley Blowers, both preceded him in death. On December 22, 1950 he married Wanda Vierheller and she survives in Lima.
He was a member of Wycoff Lodge 585 F&AM, Ancient Accepted Order Scottish Rite, Shriners and Eagles Aerie 370 Lima. He also served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are three daughters; Diane (Steve) Moening of Elida, Kathleen (Douglas) Stephan of Lima and Gena (Don) Miller of Lima, also surviving are four grandchildren; Jennifer (Jay) Wenger. Pamela Vierheller, Steven Moening, and Angela Moening, three great-grandchildren Taylor, Parker and Lyla.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Mark Mosley officiating.
At 2:00 P.M. there will be a Masonic Service and a Scottish Rite Ring service and Military Honors by VFW Post #1275 Lima, followed by the funeral service, with Mark Moseley officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home,
