Wilbur A. Brillhart 93, died at 5:25 a.m. November 25, 2009, at Elmcroft Assisted Living Center. He was born March 29, 1916, in Oakwood, Ohio to Claude and Edith Alspach Brillhart, who preceded him in death. On Nov. 24, 1938, in Ohio, he married Ruth Ann McPheron, who preceded him in death. Mr. Brillhart worked for Westinghouse for 34 years and Ford Motor Co. for 10 years. He was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church and presently a member of Shawnee United Methodist Church. He was a member and past master of Lima Lodge 205 Free & Accepted Masons, Antioch Shrine of Dayton, Lima Shrine Club, Antioch Temple, Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite-Valley of Toledo, Allen County Scottish Rite Association, Ford Retirees Association and AARP. He was a life member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54, Lima, and a charter member of Tamarac Golf Course. Survivors include two daughters, Ellen Kay (Harry) Johnson, of Elida, Ohio, and Carol Sue (Joe) Nichols, of Lima, Ohio; five granddaughters, Jennifer (Bill) Young, Karmen (Bill) Bruce, Jill (John) Sreenan, Elizabeth (Roger) Ferrell and Victoria (Jason Miller) Nichols; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Ellen Loveridge, of Lima, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harley Brillhart. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Charlotte Hefner will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where a Masonic service by Lima Lodge 205 will begin at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Shrine Hospitals.
